It’s good news for Asus Zenfone 5Z Indian customers as they are going to get a major OS update, Android 9.0 Pie. The update will be released at the end of the month in Jan 2019 for model number ZS620KL. The firmware update which will be rolled out Over-The-Air (OTA) will provide new functionalities and features. Users can also manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > System > System Updates > Check for Updates. The smartphone was launched in India back in July 2018 and it came with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

As per reports, the software update to Asus Zenfone 5Z with Android Pie will include a pop-up volume bar and a magnifier feature which will make it easy to copy & paste stuff around. There might also be few bug fixes and improvements in but nothing is confirmed as of this moment. Apart from features specific to Asus, users will also enjoy all the benefits of Android 9.0 which includes app actions, slices etc.
