HMD Global, the Finnish company manufacturing Nokia products has come up with a new smartphone named the Nokia 7.1. The company has highlighted ‘PureDisplay’ as one of its striking features. With PureDisplay users will be able to watch high contrast HDR content(better colors and details), and not only that, Nokia boasts that their device can render SDR as HDR content as well.
The device has a 5.84-inch FHD+ display and sadly or not, it comes with a notch. It packs 4GB of ram and 64GB of onboard storage which can be expanded up to 400GB using a microSD card. The device supports Android One and comes with Android 9 Pie. You can charge it via the USB-C port and fortunately, it houses a 3.5mm jack. The device comes with a 3060 mAh battery.
It houses a dual rear camera setup as a vertical stack with a 12MP primary camera and a 5 MP depth sensing. This camera setup is coupled with Zeiss Optics, EIS and AI to provide enhanced content creation. On the front, you get an 8 MP camera for selfies. All this is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, which is a decent mid-range processor. It is also worth noting that the device comes with a full glass body, which is expected to give it a premium look and feel.
The Nokia 7.1 is available for pre-order at a price of INR 19,999 at nokia.com. Do let us know your thoughts on this new device by Nokia.
