Nubia Red Magic Mars gaming phone is available for purchase

The Nubia Red Magic Mars, which was first unveiled last year in November, has now been made officially available for purchase in the US from 19th February. The phone is called a ‘gaming’ smartphone with high-end configurations. The device is also available now in regions of Europe and Canada.

Red Magic Mars comes in three versions, namely the ‘Essential’, the ‘Superior’, and the ‘Conqueror’ editions. Currently, only the Essential and Superior models will be available for purchase, since the Conqueror edition will be arriving later on.

Speaking of the specs then the ‘Essential’ edition comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal capacity. On the other hand, the ‘Superior’ edition has an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The ‘Conqueror’ edition will be having the highest configuration, that is, 10GB of RAM, with 256GB of internal capacity.

The general information of the phone in all the three variants include a 6.0-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160x1080p. And since the Nubia Red Magic Mars is a gaming phone, its powered by the flagship processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (which is an Octa-Core chipset). Its combined with Adreno 630 GPU for higher graphics performance. The battery capacity is a decent one, at 3,800mAh.

The Android platform is of the latest Android 9 Pie operating system.

For a great hearing experience, there is also DTS 7.1 surround sound. It backs up the stereo speakers; there is also smart PA amplification for cinematic sound.

Optics include only a single rear camera of 16MP at the back, with LED flash and fingerprint sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP camera for selfies. The phone also has 4D vibrations for improved feedback and immersive gameplay. Though, the feature is supported only by two games as of now. These two games are PUBG and Knives Out.

Currently, the phone is only available with two variants. The ‘Essential’ and the ‘Conqueror’ editions are being priced at $399 (in the US and Canada) and €399 or £359 (in Europe), and $499 (in the US and Canada) and €449 or £409 (in Europe).
