PewDiePie vs T-Series is an online competition between two YouTube channels, for the title of the most-subscribed channel on YouTube. Both of them being very big YouTube Channels with a tremendous number of Subscribers. Their life-long battle for the number of Subscribers has always been on the news amongst the people.
Swedish gamer and video-maker PewDiePie lost his crown as the YouTube star with the most subscribers from T-Series.
T-Series(an Indian record company run by Bhushan Kumar) is an Indian YouTube channel that shares Bollywood film trailers and music videos, while PewDiePie ( real name Felix Kjellberg) posts video game commentaries and sketches.
Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited, business names as T-Series, is a music record label and film production company in India founded by Gulshan Kumar in 1983. As of 2014, T-Series is India’s largest music record label, with up to a 35% share of the Indian music market.
T-Series also owns and operates the most-viewed and most-subscribed channel on YouTube, with over 101 million subscribers and 73 billion views as of June 2019.
T-Series joined YouTube on 13 March 2006, but only started uploading videos in late 2010. It has a multi-channel network, with 29 channels that have more than 175 million subscribers as of May 2019. The company’s YouTube team consists of 13 people at the T-Series headquarters.
Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, is a Swedish YouTuber, actor, comedian, and gamer, commonly known as PewDiePie. He is best known for his YouTube video content, which mainly consists of Let’s Play commentaries, vlogs, and comedic formatted shows.
During his time at the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg in 2010, he registered a YouTube account under the name PewDiePie. On 15 August 2013, Kjellberg became the most-subscribed user on YouTube, being briefly surpassed in late 2013 by YouTube Spotlight.
From 29 December 2014 to 14 February 2017, Kjellberg’s channel was the most-viewed YouTube channel. Kjellberg’s most noted YouTube content includes his Let’s Play-style video game commentaries, particularly of the horror genre.
Battle (PewDiePie vs T-Series)
On May 29, 2019, T-Series became the first YouTube Channel to achieve 100 million Subscribers. PewDiePie, T-Series’ competitor, fall behind with his subscriber base at 96 million.
The Indian music label achieved the milestone of 100 million YouTube subscribers after a public internet war with PewDiePie. T-Series, in a tweet, said that the world’s biggest YouTube channel has achieved another milestone by being the first one to cross 100 million subscribers.
T-Series has temporarily overtaken PewDiePie on numerous occasions in 2019. And on 27 March 2019, it became the most subscribed channel for five consecutive days before PewDiePie retook the lead. After that, PewDiePie held the lead for 2 weeks, before T-Series came back as the most subscribed channel on YouTube.
The activism of some PewDiePie supporters has extended beyond legal grounds; hackings of websites, social media accounts, etc. have taken place in order to tell people to subscribe to his channel.
On 28 April 2019 PewDiePie released a video calling for his supporters to end their efforts to keep him as the most subscribed channel. And now T-Series holds the significant lead, with this the competition is generally presumed to have ended.
