Samsung has started rolling out the Android Pie update for its 2018 model Galaxy A6+. It was a mid-range smartphone released last year. According to the company, the device will get the new operating system next month.
The Pie update is being rolled out through OTA, carrying version number A605FNXXU3BSC6. Its total size is around 1.2GB, and will also be having the recent security patch of March. That’s great for the users who are owning this phone currently.
The update will be available in many international markets, starting with Poland.
Talking about the A6+ itself, in 2019, then the phone comes with a 6.0-inch Super AMOLED display. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC combined with a 4GB of RAM.
The inbuilt storage is 64GB. With a microSD card, it goes up to 256GB. Battery capacity is decent at around 3,500mAh.
Optics on the phone include a dual-camera setup on the rear. It has a 16MP lens (f/1.7) with a 5MP depth sensor (f/1.9). On the front, there’s a selfie camera of 24MP (f/1.9).
