Android Q Beta made available for all Pixel devices!

Even before it gets officially out, Android Q beta version has been made available for all Pixel devices! Specifically speaking, then the yet-to-be-announced operating system’s beta release can now be installed on the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2XL, Pixel 3, and Pixel 3XL.

The biggest surprise regarding the beta version is their availability for the original Pixel phones. Since they are already past their promised support window of two years. So that’s a really great thing done by Google.

The final Android Q stable release is expected to arrive in Q3 of 2019. It’s not clear as of now whether the old Pixel devices will also get the final version or not. Certainly, it seems that they will be getting that too.

The users can get the Android Q beta release by enrolling their devices in Android Q beta program. They can enroll their devices here. After this, they will receive the ‘build-over-the-air’.

Talking about the things that the beta version of the new Android Q offers, include several features. Like the new permission management system for location now has three options. It includes granting an app access all the time, only while it’s in use, or never. This is akin to iOS in iPhones and will definitely provide more comfort to the consumers. Granting an app the access to location irritates many people.

The new Q beta version will also prevent certain apps from launching any activity in the background.

Google is also about to provide support to apps to work more efficiently in foldable devices’ screens also.
