After the big companies like Samsung, OnePlus, Nokia and Xiaomi, Asus has uploaded its Android Pie update to the Zenfone 5. Asus has also stated that the Zenfone 5z will get the Pie update by the end of January.
Although the official OTA update isn’t out yet, the FOTA update is available on the company’s official website.
The size of the update is around 1.1 GB. The process includes downloading the update from the company’s website and moving it to your SD card. Once you’ve done that, enter into recovery mode then choose ‘Apply from SD Card’ option. You may then select the file and the phone will update itself. You can enter into recovery mode by switching off the phone and then holding the volume up button until ‘Boot Mode’ shows up. Then press the volume up button to enter recovery mode, and then, press volume down button to confirm.
The OTA update should be available soon too.
