In a twitter post , ASUS has announced that the new Zenfone 6 will be announced on May 16. The new flagship from ASUS will be launching from Valencia, Spain. It will serve as a successor to the previous 5Z which was quite affordable for the specifications it offered.
From the teaser it seems that the new Zenfone 6 will be going completely bezeless. That means no notch, no cut-out and no punch-hole in the display. The chin will not be there either and the top earpiece will be located right above the display.
We don’t have much information about its camera setup yet. What we do know is that it will be either rocking a pop-up camera or this phone will be a slider one. It will be rocking one 48 megapixel sensor at least. We don’t have any information about the sensor as of now.
As per the internals are concerned, it will be rocking a Snapdragon 855 under the hood. It is also confirmed that it will be available in a 6GB + 128GB variant. We don’t have any information about any other variant yet. We do expect it to launch with an 8GB RAM variant as well.
It will come with a traditional capacitive rear fingerprint sensor instead of the optical one like on other flagships. We expect it to launch with metal and glass body design as the other flagships.
