After months of rumors and leaks, realme x50 has been finally launched in the Indian marketplace, being the first phone from realme to offer a 5g facility in India. It’s also the first flagship offering from realme in 2020. The phone offers quite a features at its upper mid-range segment. Let’s have a look at them.
The highest selling point of realme x50 is it’s the latest and fastest Snapdragon processor, the snapdragon 865. It comes with a 5g modem so as to enable the user to use 5g in smartphones. Snapgradon 865 is the currently the fastest snapdragon processor and has set benchmarks in performance. With this processor, x50 is expected to blaze through any task thrown at it. It also comes with “360° surround antenna” with a total of 13 antennae to ensure 5g connectivity.
It comes with a maximum of 12 Gb LPDDR5 ram which is 50% faster than LPDDR4 ram. It also comes with UFS 3.0 with turbo boost technology. Though the latest offering in the market is UFS 3.1.
SCREEN AND BATTERY
The one thing that sets it apart from the competition is its superdart 65W charger which can fully charge 4200 mAh battery in just 35 minutes!
In the display segment, it features a 6.44 inch FHD+ Samsung super AMOLED display. The screen comes with a 90hz refresh rate which would ensure smooth transitions.
It comes with gen 3.0 under display fingerprint scanner.
On the camera side it comes with a quad camera sensor, and in front a camera array. The primary sensor is a 1/1.72-inch Samsung GW1 64MP sensor with f/1.8 large aperture and Quad Bayer’s 4-in-1 intelligent pixel binning technology. It is paired with a 119° ultra wide-angle lens sporting 8MP resolution, a 12MP camera with up to 20x Hybrid Zoom and a B&W portrait lens which helps to capture light better and enhance image quality. As far as selfies are concerned, the smartphone packs a 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor with an 80° wide-angle main camera and also with an 8MP 105° super wide-angle camera; to achieve a 2.5 times wider field of view.
It comes with the latest realme UI based on Android 10. It comes in 2 Mass green and rust-red options.
The Realme X50 Pro will sell in India for Rs. 37,999 for 6GB/128GB, Rs. 39,999 for 8GB/128GB and Rs. 44,999 for 12GB/256GB.
With India still not ready for 5g, let’s see where these smartphones stand with 5g being one of the top-selling points. Although other than 5g, the phone has quite unique features to offer in this price segment
X50 is going to face stiff competition from the likes of one plus 7 pro and more recently launched 5g enabled IQOO 3. It is a matter of observation where it stands in an extremely competitive market.
