Gmail, after Android, has now revamped its look for iOS too. The app has got a new Material look. It did not require users to update the app as it was a server-side update.
Google revealed the Material theme design of the Gmail app on Cloud Next 2018 in July last year. Many desktop features like density options, easy access to attachments have been brought.
The update does away with the red bar on the top and is replaced by a new font. Furthermore, the material theme design brings a tweaked compose button and a large warning message in red on emails that are suspected to be phishing attempts.
