The Pixel 4A is one of the heavily leaked devices. With its renders and rumored specs flooding the internet. With a rumored price of $349, it is one of the best value-oriented smartphones you can buy. Google officially confirmed that the new Pixel phone will be coming out on August 3, 2020. With the launch date confirmed, some solid price and specs leaks have started to come in from some renowned leakers. The Pixel 4A also seems to have a 5G variant, that provides some weightage to the previous leaks saying the same.
Ishan Agarwal in his recent tweet posted an image of the phone and some price and specs leaks.
The tweet also mentions phone’s availability. Apparently, the phone will be available in the U.S, UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, Japan, and Canada.
Box Contents have also been reviled in another tweet from the user TechDroid. Surprisingly the box also shows an 18W power adapter. To some it might not seems like a big deal, but people need to remember that this is a budget smartphone from Google that had a $50 price cut from last year. With companies like Apple and Samsung planning to remove the power adapter from certain top tier phones, providing a fast charger in the box is a big move.
Apple launched its iPhone SE 2020 for $399 and OnepPlus launched its Nord at £379. With Apple putting its best single-lens camera and best processor in the iPhone SE 2020 and OnePlus providing a 5G capable phone with an OLED display and a good camera system.
What’s interesting is the launch date of the Pixel 4A. The Pixel 4A was expected to launch at Google I/O 2020, which was supposed to be held in May 2020 but was canceled to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then it has been a waiting game. Tech products are usually announced mid-week or on weekends. August 3, 2020 is a Monday and also a day before the sale of OnePlus Nord goes live. This shows that Google is doing its best to capture the market share in the budget segment.
If the rumors turn out to be true. Then the Pixel 4A will have a true flagship-level camera with an OLED display, fast charging, and most importantly a headphone jack.
