GTA 6 has been widely anticipated ever since Rockstar released the hugely popular Red Dead Redemption II last year. The company is working on the sequel to the beloved open-world franchise with the last installment being 2013’s GTA 5.
A game which became the fastest to gross US$ 1 billion in sales. Now leaks suggest GTA 6 will be set in fan-favorite locations such as Liberty City and Vice City.
The game is unlikely to be compatible with current gen consoles hence it won’t run on PlayStation 4 or the XBOX One. But it is expected to drop in late 2020 or early 2021 alongside the PS5 which would likely run it.
According to leaks, the game will span multiple cities with picturesque scenes. Some sort of a ‘Quick Travel’ mechanic would enable swift transition between cities.
The story line is supposed to follow us playing a small time guy in Liberty city. He’ll start out doing odd jobs and thefts. The player will eventually be asked to look after bigger business, following which he’ll become the “drug lord” of Vice City.
2004’s GTA San Andreas’ map could also be added to the new iteration. With 3 legendary maps in a single game, fans would certainly get a bang for their buck.
