Instagram, the photo-editing and the photo sharing app, on 27th of December, suddenly changed from it’s regular portrait oriented view to a landscape oriented view, and it wasn’t received well by the users. There was an online uproar to say the least and it’s safe to say that the users weren’t very fond of the update.
The change was that instead of scrolling vertically through the posts, the users had to scroll horizontally with a bar between the posts and the stories indicating how far they were through their feed.

The company quickly admitted that the shift was only just a mistake and it went back to the regular portrait oriented setup so quickly that some users didn’t even notice. But the ones who did, well we will let the tweets do the talking. It sure did make up for the last meme-able Instagram event of 2018.
