LG, who had been recently testing Android 9 Pie’s compatibility with the G7 ThinQ, has finally decided to roll out the Android 9 Pie update in the first quarter of 2019. The update, however, is only available in it’s home country South Korea. There is no news about the update to be released on a global platform yet.
Most of the major smartphone companies have already rolled out the update for their flagship devices, that too on a global platform with LG running a little behind in the race.
The LG G7 ThinQ is not available in India but it’s other variant, the G7+ ThinQ is. Hence if someone owns a G7 ThinQ not brought from Korea, he would have to wait for quite sometime to get the new version of the OS on his phone.
