Mi India entered the Indian laptop market today with its mi notebook 14 and mi notebook 14 horizon. With a Tag line of “ make epic happen” I first thought that it would be powered by AMD processors but it turns out that Xiaomi has decided to go with team blue this time. Both the Mi Notebook 14 and Mi Notebook 14 Horizon edition are thin and light laptops that are powered by intel 10th gen processors that are housed in a metal body. They offer good specs at their respective price point.
In this article, we will be focussing on Mi Notebook 14 as it is budget-friendly and will be a good match for students.
It has a 14inch 1080P Full HD Anti-glare Display with 178 Degrees of Wide- Viewing Angle. It has an Aspect Ratio of 16:9 and a bezel size of 5.75 mm, which makes its screen to body ratio 81.2 percent.
All the variants of Mi notebook 14 feature Intel’s 10th gen i5-10210U processor which belongs in the Comet Lake line-up. It is based on 14nm technology and has a TDP of 15Watts. It has a base frequency of 1.6 GHz and Max Turbo Frequency if 4.20 GHz. It has 4 cores and 8 threads with hyperthreading. It has 6 MB Intel® Smart Cache.
The i5-10210U processor comes with the integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics. The mi notebook 14 also comes with the optional but more powerful NVIDIA® GeForce® MX250 (2GB GDDR5 VRAM). It is an entry-level graphics card that should satisfy your gaming needs. It provides a decent FPS in less demanding titles like rocket league in low to medium settings.

It offers different storage options depending on the variant. You can choose from 256GB and 512GB SATA 3 SSD. Yes, it is SATA based not NVME based but it offers speeds around 600 MB/s.
