Motorola has launched a new E-series smartphone called Moto E6s. It joins the team of other E-series phones such as Moto E6, Moto E6 Play and Moto E6 Plus that were announced last year. The Lenovo backed mobile tech giant is back in the game with newly announced Moto E6s, which has a waterdrop notch screen that delivers a fairly tall aspect ratio. The rear side comes loaded with a dual camera. The phone comes with ample storage as for the price. Being a low price segment device it comes with some promising specs. The phone gives a direct neck to neck competition to Redmi 7 and Realme 3i. Further, We expect it might be the game-changer at the lower-end/budget-friendly smartphone segment (a segment which faces quite a tough competition in Indian markets), let’s take a look:
Build and Design
The Moto E6s offers a 6.1-inch IPS LCD Max Vision display that produces HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. It delivers a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 282ppi. Also, note the u-shaped is placed on the screen is the home for its all-new f/2.2 aperture 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The rear side of the device supports a dual-camera system assisted by an LED flash. It comes packed with an f/2.2 aperture 13-megapixel main lens and an f/2.4 aperture 2-megapixel depth sensor. Also, the amazing polycarbonate back features a logo of the company that integrates with the fingerprint sensor. The SoC combines with 4 GB of RAM to enhance user experience. Although, It comes with 64GB onboard storage and has an option to expand it via microSD card.
Moto E6s comes with Android 9 out of the box. Also it has the Helio P22 chipset from Mediatek that overpowering clock speed of 2GHz with an octa-core processor architecture to power the device. Furthermore, the phone is using a 3,000mAh battery that supports 5W charging. I am not happy with the battery segment, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
Some other features include single / dual-SIM variants, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2, micro-USB and comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset measures 155.6 x 73 x 8.5mm and has a water-repellent construction. Although, It weighs 160 grams even then the weight distribution is excellent. Also, the Moto E6s is kind of similar to the Moto E6 Plus. The only noticeable differences on the E6 Plus is that it comes with an 8-megapixel selfie camera and supports 10W charging.
