After Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi came up with foldable smartphones, Oppo too is out with the same.
The Chinese phone company has not yet revealed its features or any other information. Brian Shen had shared an image of the device on the Chinese social media platform, Weibo.
The device looks very similar to the Huawei Mate X and has also adopted a similar approach with the back-to-back fold mechanism.
A drawback to the device is that it has an OLED that’s too large and flexible which gives a shabby look to the device. On the other hand, this looks stunning at Mate X.
Furthermore, the hinge mechanism adopted by the device is also similar Mate X’s.
Oppo’s foldable smartphone comes with a thick sidebar at the ‘back’ and consists of some crucial features such as cameras, processor, antennas and more.
The device hasn’t been named yet and there’s no information on the specifications just yet.
Brian mentioned in his post that the company wasn’t willing to ship the device until it receives copious demand or interest from people.
So there seem minimal chances for it to become available in the market anytime soon. Users might have to choose the Samsung Fold or Huawei’s Mate X instead.
