Oppo tries to silently launch a new budget-oriented smartphone under its ‘A’ series called the Oppo A12e. The latest entrant is the Oppo A12e which has been spotted with some entry-level hardware such as Snapdragon 450 SoC and an older Android Oreo OS. The company is also gearing up to launch the standard Oppo A12 which is also likely to hit the markets sometime soon.
The A12e appears on the company’s Vietnamese web site. However, it was removed shortly then. And the A12e is simply a re-branded version of the Oppo A3s that has been in circulation since 2018.
OPPO A12e smartphone runs on Android v9.0 (Pie) software system. TheOcta-core, 1.8 GHz, Cortex A53 processor powers up the device. It runs on the Qualcomm flower 450 Chipset and GPU is Adreno 506. It comes packed with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.
OPPO A12e smartphone has an IPS liquid crystal display. It measures 156.2 mm x 75.6 mm x 8.2 metric linear unit and weighs one hundred seventy grams. The screen includes a resolution of 720 x 1520 picture elements and 271 PPI pixel density. On the camera front, the consumers get an eight MP Primary Camera and on the rear, there is an amazing combination of 13 MP + 2 MP camera with options like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, bit to focus. The 4230 mAh battery fires up the device. The connectivity options within the smartphone include a local area network, Bluetooth, GPS, Volte, and more.
Pricing and availability of Oppo A12e
The Oppo A12e was recently spotted on the company’s official website in Vietnam as mentioned in the beginning. However, no date mentioned quoting price and availability. The Chinese phone-maker is yet to announce its arrival details in India and the global market. Also, we are waiting to see if this device launches with this dated firmware in other regions as well or the company will update it for other regions.
