South Korean giant Samsung is one of the most well known brands in the world when it comes to smartphones. Now, the company is back with a new processor, the Samsung Exynos 7 series 7904.
This processor is built such as to bring high end features to mid range budget smartphones. It is already said to be in the mass production phase. According to Samsung, it is specially tailored for the Indian market. The release date or the devices that it’ll be equipped with still remain unknown.
The Samsung Exynos is built to deliver a fast octa-core performance, enhancing the overall smartphone performance. It also imbibes greater network speed and better multitasking while saving power.
Samsung Exynos is based on 14nm process. The architecture comprises of of two 1.8GHz Cortex-A73 cores for resource-intensive work. Six 1.6GHz Cortex-A53 cores are available to handle the other basic tasks carried out by smartphones. It has the octa core arranged in a 2+6 core cluster.
The Samsung Exynos 7904 SoC is said to support triple rear cameras or a single rear camera of 32-megapixels.
Coming to connectivity, the Samsung Exynos 7904 SoC comes with an LTE modem which supports Cat.12 3-carrier aggregation (CA) standard. It allows a maximum downlink speed of 600Mbps.
This is going to prove to be another successful endeavour on Samsung’s front, bringing high end technology to the mass at easy on the pocket prices.
