The most popular game PUBG is back with some news, the game that made most of the teenagers go crazy. On March 13, ten students were arrested for playing PUBG in Rajkot, Gujarat. The students were so engrossed in the game that they did not look up and notice police approaching to arrest them, one cop told local media. The students were released on bail later today.
Gurajat, a western state of our country, banned PUBG a week ago, on the concern that the people are getting too involved in the game that they forget about the rest of the world. however, PUBG is still legal in the rest of India, but Gujarat singled out the game after parents and educators complained that the game was too violent and distracted students from studying.
In February, a local minister in Gujarat described it as “a demon in every house,” according to The Times of India. Last month, a mother complained to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about her son’s addiction to online games during a public interaction and he replied: “Is this the PUBG one?”
As of now, PUBG is legal in most parts of India but seeing how the government is creating awareness regarding the game. The game may be banned in other states as well.
