The famous electric car company, Tesla, has now decided to close it’s offline stores and shift towards online sale. Meaning there will be a decrease in headcount and it might reduce cost of the Model 3.
The company’s CEO Elon Musk did not reveal the exact figure of employees laid off. Neither did He reveal the number of the stores closed. He did state that a few stores would turn into information centers and turn into a showroom.
To be specific, Elon said
“We will be closing some stores and that will be some reduction in head count as a result; there’s no question about that,” . He further made it clear that it was the only way to keep the financials low and the company sustainable.
This shift allowed the company to finally offer a Tesla Model 3 at $35,000/- which will offer a 220 miles range and be able to reach a top speed of 130 miles per hour.
There is alo a Standard Plus range version which offers a 240 mile range and 140 miles per hour speed at $37,000/-.
