We got a glance of the ‘Cepheus’ at Geekbench the other day and it showed off the capabilities of the Snapdragon 855, which powers the phone.
With the Mi 8 already unveiled, it is very likely that the ‘Cepheus’ might be the Mi 9 in the making and it could be just some months away from its release. It is clearly a flagship model and is speculated to have a 48MP camera, an on-screen fingerprint sensor and an always on display mode. The ‘Cepheus’ ran Android 9 but it is likely that it will get an upgrade by the time it is released. It also packed a 6GB RAM, much like the Mi 8.
The benchmark results have come out and the phone has done pretty well getting a score of 3524 on the single core performance and a 11260 on the multi core performance.
With the release of the Redmi Note 7 on Thursday, we expect Mi to release it’s new flagship in a few months.
