TikTok Rating Drops From 4.5 ⭐ to 1.6 ⭐On Play Store

TikTok vs Youtube

Update On 22/05/2020:

The Situation Has Further Deteriorated. Earlier We Saw That The Play Store Rating Was Dropped To 2.0 Stars But Now It Has Reached 1.6 Stars. Tiktok Lite App Has Reached A Rating Of 1.1 Stars. An Interesting Fact Is That The Apple App Store Rating Was Untouched Before (4.8 Stars) But Has Now Reached 4.7 Stars. This Is Actually Quite Shocking For Me Seeing Up To What Extent Fans/Haters Can Go. People Are Intentionally Giving 1-Star Reviews Following The Carryminati Roast & Faizal Siddiqui ‘Acid Attack’ Controversy. There Is Constant Demand For TikTok Ban By This Group Of People.

We’ll have to keep a look At This YouTube Vs TikTok War. You Can Get An Overview Of The Situation Below.

TikTok Has Lost Its PlayStore Rating

Date: May 19th, 2020.

TikTok Has Witnessed A Rating Drop From 4.5 Stars To 2.0 Stars On The Google Play Store In The Past Few Days. Whereas The App Store Rating Remains Untouched To 4.8 Stars. Strange Isn’t It?

A Lot Of People Are Posting 1 Star Reviews On The Play Store, And These People Are Believed To Be Fans Of The Popular Indian Youtuber CarryMinati. This Incident Has Surfaced Online When YouTube Took Down Ajay Nager’s (Real Name Of CarryMinati) YouTube Video Under ‘Violating Terms Of Service’. The Video Was Titled  ‘YouTube Vs TikTok: The End’ And Was A Roast Video On TikTok Star Amir Siddiqui. #BanTikTokindia #Justiceforcarry #TikTokexposed Are Trending On Twitter And Instagram, Because Of Ajay’s Fans.

Also, A TikTok Video Has Surfaced Online Where Faizal Siddiqui (Amir Siddiqui’s Brother) Is Accused Of Promoting Acid Attack On Women. All These Controversies Have Resulted In People Intentionally Giving 1 Star Reviews For The App On Play Store.

TikTok User Base In India

TikTok Has 119 Million Active Users In India Itself. According To Oberlo, It Is Also One Of The Fastest Growing Platform In The World, And Also The Most Downloaded App On Apple App Store. The Website Also Stated In 2019 Alone (As Of November 2019), India Was Responsible For 277.6 Million Downloads, Which Make Up Almost Half (45 Percent) Of The Number Of Downloads In The Entire Year.

These Statistics Prove It Is Indeed A Very Popular Platform In India. The Topic Of Banning It In India Has Surfaced A Lot Of Times Due To Various Controversies In The Past Too. But The Ban Will Surely Affect A Lot Of People. TikTok Certainly Has Its Separate Fan Base Which Is Against These Demands For Banning TikTok. Both The Parties Of This So-Called “War” Between YouTube And TikTok Are Fighting On Social Media Platforms.
