Vivo has just launched a similar version of its Vivo V15 Pro which was earlier launched in India. The new phone, Vivo V15, has recently been launched in Thailand and Malaysian markets. It is slightly different from the Indian Pro version. Because it has MediaTek’s HelioP70 octa-core chip instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 SoC.
Coming onto the specs of the phone itself, then it has a 6.53-inch FHD+ display. The screen resolution is 1080x2340p. The device has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal capacity (expandable via microSD card up to 256GB).
Optics on the phone include a triple-rear camera setup. The primary sensor of 12MP (f/1.78) is combined with an 8MP secondary lens (f/2.2) and a 5MP tertiary sensor (f/2.4). On the front, there is the same 32MP (f/2.0) selfie ‘Pop-Up camera’—just like the V15 Pro—for capturing detailed and high-quality pictures.
For the durability of a day’s performance, the V15 is backed up by a large 4,000mAh battery. It is supported by the ‘Dual-Engine’ fast charging technology. Connectivity on the phone includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, and Micro USB with OTG support. There is the 3.5mm audio jack too.
Basic necessary sensors are also there like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, gyroscope, and the proximity sensor.
The Android platform on the phone is of the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system.
When it comes to the cost, then the V15 is priced at THD 10,999 (around Rs.24,500) in Thailand. Though the price details of the phone in the Malaysian market has not been revealed yet. The colour options available are of ‘Topaz Blue’ and ‘Glamour Red’, having a gradient finish on top.
