Xiaomi launched Mi 9 and Mi 9 Explorer Edition at an event China on 20 February 2019. The Mi 9 SE is the ’lite’ version of the Mi 9. It is also the first smartphone in the world with Snapdragon 712 SoC chipset.

The device weighs 155g and measure 147.5 x 70.5 x 7.45 mm.
The smartphone is available in three color variants Piano Black, Lavender Violet, and Ocean Blue. Furthermore, the smartphone is accompanied with glass design both on front and back and has a gradient design at the back.
The smartphone comes with a Super AMOLED display measuring 5.97 inches. The resolution of the display is 2340 x 1080 px. It also comes with the protection of Gorilla Glass 5.
As mentioned earlier, the device is accompanied by Snapdragon 712 SoC. It has an Octa-core CPU and Adreno 616 GPU.
The smartphone is available in two variants, one with 6 GB RAM & 64 GB ROM and the second variant with 6 GB RAM & 128 GB ROM.
The device comes with an MIUI 10 and Android 9 Pie OS. The smartphone features a triple rear camera, 48 mp Sony IMX586 sensor, 8mp telephoto lens, and a 13 mp wide-angle lens. The selfie camera is 20 megapixels.
The camera comes with Ultra wide-angle mode, Portrait mode, and 960fps Super slo-mo features.
The device is powered with a 3070 mAh battery. The other features include 5th generation in- display fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
Price & Availability
The price of the 64 GB variant is expected to be Rs. 21,000 in India and the 128 GB variant at Rs. 24,000. The smartphone is available in three color variants Piano Black, Lavender Violet, and Ocean Blue. Unfortunately, the company did not mention its launch in India.
