Google and Amazon have finally kept their differences aside and have come to terms. What this means for us is that now Youtube will be available on FireTV. Likewise, PrimeVideo will now be available on Chromecast.
Earlier, Amazon had refused to sell particular Google Products like the Google Home and Chromecast on its platform. Moreover, Chromecast was denied support of PrimeVideo. Also, some of Nest’s products were also denied from the platform. As a result, Google blocked Youtube from Amazon’s FireTV. This war between the two went on for more than a year but it ends now.
FireTV will be receiving an update which will enable to access Youtube and so will the Chromecast which will allow it to cast PrimeVideo.
This move from both the corporations comes as a good news to their customers. This would also benefit them in this increasingly competitive space.
